I'm female, 69 years old. I had a hernia operation on the right side. Immediately awakening the surgery, I complained of pain in my groin going down about 6" on the inside of the right leg and on the hip bone and waist on the right side. At first the groin and leg pain was accompanied by numbness. The numbness is gone but pain is still prevalent both places reported above. No Xray or cat scan has been taken to discover problem. I was prescribed Amitriptyline 10 mg, one tablet to be taken at bedtime for chronic pain. I was told I can't take it during the day or when I wake up with pain as I have today. The surgeon "assume" it's nerve damage. Any suggestions for the next step. Thank you. IP: Logged |
