I itch like hell after a bath. I have changed towels , tried various soaps and shower gels still no change. The only thing that works for me is skipping the bath entirely. Was told I had Filariasis, used Diethyl cabamazine and even Ketoral, no luck . Any advice please? IP: Logged |

Did you know the basis of all shampoos, bath foams etc., are taken from Industrial grease? The leftovers of industry. Toxic. Pure water, glycerin soap, perhaps essential oils if you are not allergic, nothing else. get the purest shampoos and conditioners you can find or make you won. Also there is a book on the subject. I will find the title and get back to you, ihave it here, it is devastating! What we are absorbing each day. IP: Logged |

Diethyl cabamazine is to keep the filarsiasis worms under control. Do you have itching all the time but it gets worse after a bath? Just wondering if it can be due to the filariasis... Is there any traditional Nigerian medicine you could try for the itching? Some local plant or something? Good luck, IP: Logged |

If you have a hot bath it gets the blood vessels relaxed and bigger and there is more blood supply to the top of the skin. Once you finish your bath the vessels constrict, this can also cause itching all over, especially in the lower half of the body. Have you tried to shower instead and use lukewarm water, not hot. Also try having very short baths. This is just a suggestion, maybe it might help. IP: Logged |

Try cleaning your water heater. I had the same problem. Finally, I left a message for our local water superintendant who called back and said it was most likely scale build-up. It causes a white film on the outside of the faucets, shower heads, etc., and accounts for the film on shower stalls and ring around the tub. It's also the reason for dull hair, clothing, and white spots on glasses and dishes in the dishwasher. It's no wonder we itch like crazy! IP: Logged |
